The Knowle Country House was built in the 1850’s by the rector of Higham, a great friend of Charles Dickens whose house he shared at ‘Gad’s Hill Higham’ whilst The Knowle Country House was being built. Dickens later became a frequent visitor. The Knowle Country House is set in 14 acres of orchards and old English gardens, now the home of Lyn Michael Baragwanath who turned their house into a restaurant in 1980.
We have photographed several weddings at The Knowle Country House. It always feels so comforting and homely and we always get a warm welcome, the staff are attentive and friendly. As a Kent Wedding Photographer and seeing many venues The Knowle Country House always shines out .
Rebecca and David’s wedding was no exception and what an amazing day they had. The sun was shinning, the blossom was out, an absolutely perfect backdrop for Rebecca’s stunning gown.
We joined the excited girls in the quant cottage just outside the main house. David and the boys were outside enjoying the wedding car, a beautiful Mustang. We had great fun posing them for a few photos, I think David completely forgot he was getting married.
The service itself was held indoors as the weather was so hot. There was a lovely relaxed vibe with the guests and couple beaming from ear to ear, they smiled their way through the service.
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the beautiful grounds making the best of the willow trees around the pond. The Cherry blossom and the bluebells under the trees. Picture perfect! As the sun went down the light was amazing, so we whisked the couple away for some sneaky pictures .
These are just a few images from the day , the couple received over 800!
