A stunning Spring wedding at The George in Rye.
The George in Rye is a regular venue for us, we have a wonderful relationship with the staff and as we live within a mile of Rye we know all the best places to capture photographs on your big day .
The George is a chic and elegant 16th-century coaching inn situated in the heart of beautiful Rye, East Sussex. Civil ceremonies can take place in the Georgian ballroom or the lovely Town Hall which is a short walk away. It’s a very charming wedding venue, offering lots of opportunites for wedding photography, and then there’s Rye itself and the Town Hall which are extremely photogenic. If you’re considering having your wedding at The George in Rye then please do get in contact.
Jack and Sophie had chosen Rye Town Hall for the ceremony, this was a perfect choice for Spring time. Although they both got ready at The George. Sophie was in a generous sized room off from the courtyard. This has perfect access to the road that leads up to The Town Hall. Jack was enjoying a couple of drinks in the bar before he and his groomsmen took the walk up to the Town Hall.
Rye Town Hall is an elegant Georgian building . The best thing is that they offer you the exclusive services of the Town Crier. He will greet your guests on arrival and then escort the Bride to the Main Chamber. After the ceremony, when everyone is gathered outside, he will deliver the wedding ‘cry’, announcing your marriage to the town. If your reception is being held within the town, he can also lead you and your wedding party to the venue. This really is a highlight to a Rye Spring wedding .
