Dan and Olivia’s wedding at Swallows Oast was another great event for Rye’s Wedding Photographers. Not more than 20 miles from our base it is another fine example of yet another cracking venue in the heart of Sussex. Dan and Olivia were a delightful couple obviously very much in love. One of their reasons for choosing Swallows Oast in Ticehurst was their love of Nature. The setting as can be seen from the photos is in beautiful wooded countryside.
Dan and Olivia chose Rye wedding photographers because they wanted local people who knew the venue and they loved our natural, documentary style photography. She got ready at a separate venue. Lauren Louise did hair and make-up and we were happy to be working with this talented girl again. This was a lovely privately owned farmhouse where she was kept company by just her bridesmaids and her Father. We took the opportunity whilst we were there to get not just the normal prep shots but some lovely posed photos as it was such a nice setting.
The Service was held in the barn at swallows Oast and this was delightfully decorated, again following a very natural woodland theme. Olivia had also requested some shots of her beautiful Labrador and we were happy to work with the doggy on this. Despite the famous saying, we have no problem with working with children and/or animals. The couple were a little camera shy initially but we pride ourselves on helping our clients relax. I think the pictures show that we were able to achieve this once again.
The weather was stunning and towards the end of the day we were able to get some great photographs as the sun set. Once the sun had gone down we were still able to get some dramatic shots using some clever off-camera flash techniques. We were really pleased with these as were Dan and Olivia. All in all this was yet another success for Debbie Sanderson Wedding Photography. Happy clients means happy photographers!
