Hana and Matt were so lucky on the day of their Christmas winter wedding. The weather was absolutely glorious and luckily not too cold. They got married in the wonderful, picturesque setting of St George’s Church in Brede near Broadoak in East Sussex not too far from Hastings and Rye.
The Church, although Norman very little of the original building remains and the structure of the Church developed over a period of some 400 years from the 12th century onwards. . The walls were built of local sandstone and ironstone, so pretty. The view of the Brede Valley and the hills beyond are magnificent, especially on a wedding day like this.
Although the service was held in Brede the reception was in Sedlescombe near Hastings and that’s where we started our day with Hana and the girls getting ready. Excitement infused the small room, Hana looked a picture with her hair and make up by Grace Benson, she definitely had that bridal glow. She was joined by her very proud Dad and they made their way to the service in a beautiful vintage car.
Matt was nervously awaiting his bride with his good friend and best woman, who was keeping him calm. I love the pictures of her laughing at him in his pain, brilliant. No need to have worried though as Hana walked down the aisle beaming from ear to ear. It was clear to see how much this couple mean to each other and they were overjoyed that their big day had come.
Hana and Matt are very keen on music and had arranged for a group of singers to entertain the congregation, this made a welcome change to the norm making the whole event more relaxed and fun.
We captured some lovely photographs of the couple around the church grounds and of course the view over Brede Valley, before we were off to reception for some lovely Italian food. Staying until just after the first dance we had a wonderful day!
