We first met Jemma and Helen at our house, they were a delightful couple and keen to explain their plans for the big day. The whole event was to held at The George in Rye in East Sussex, our local town. It was a low key wedding without too much fuss with close friends and family attending but still with the beautiful dresses, shoes , flowers and all the trimmings . We arrived at The George to find two very excited and slightly emotional brides who couldn’t wait to say I do. The girls had gone for a slight vintage, Alice in Wonderland theme, mixed in with some truly beautiful Autumn colours . The shoes and flowers were absolutely stunning , no doubt you can guess the shoes were irregular choice, they stole the show for me…lol. The reception was to be held in the Benson room, it looked a picture with big, colourful table decorations in oranges and reds, topped off with little Alice in Wonderland trinkets.
We captured both brides getting ready. They’d gone for quite different styles but complimented each other perfectly, I love the portrait shots they both look stunning. Time just whizzed by and before we knew it the moment had come. Proud Dad’s walked their girls down the aisle , Jemma and Helen were literally beaming, there were tears, laughter and fun throughout the service, one of my favourite shots to the day is Helen drying Jemma’s eye, pure magic! Drinks proceeded the ceremony and this gave the guests time to congratulate the newly weds .
After a few group photo’s outside The George , we took the girls for a quick walk around Rye to get some romantic pics. We were joined by a very persistent black cat who was determined to be in on the action. Well that’s got to be a heap of good luck!
