A vibrant, lively, fun Chilham Village Hall wedding in Kent.
We met Shannon and her Mum when they came for a consultation at our house in Rye. What a force of nature Shannon was. So enthusiastic and excited to discuss the details of her wedding she was planning at Chilham Village Hall. She found our website on google and fell in love with our vibrant clear photographs. She expressed the desire for colourful, fun pictures, so right up our street. We had never photographed at Chilham Village Hall so we were really looking forward to it.
Shannon, her five bridesmaids and a fabulous brides man were busy getting ready in Orions Cottage next to The Shelly Tearooms in Chilham, a quintessential English village. The girls arriving to a chorus of singing and dancing, it was like entering a musical, fabulous! This set the tone of the day. The 40s inspired bridesmaids dresses definatly added colour, along side the vibrant bouquets it really made a feast for the eyes.
Not a hint of nerves but lots of emotion Shannon walked down the aisle of Chilham Village Hall on the arms of her very proud brothers. The service full of tears and laughter, it was a privilege to watch. They exited to a barrage of confetti and exuberant congratulations.
After we captured some fun group, family pictures we took the couple off for a little drive as we’d discovered a beautiful apple orchard and corn field just up the road. These locations suited the couple perfectly and added the colour Shannon was after. As we were shooting these you could hear the cheers all around as England were playing in the world cup and actually scored… ha ha.
We throughly enjoyed our day at Chilham Village Hall and hope to return soon!
