Occasionally we have a wedding when all the factors align . The couple, the weather and the setting, this was one of those occasions.
We had met Kayleigh and her Mum a couple of years ago, when they planned to get married at a different date a venue but due to personal reasons they changed it to this year, so had to wait a while for their big day. I was worth the wait. The were to be married in the beautiful little church of ‘St Mary The Virgin’ in Willingdon near Eastbourne in East Sussex. Then onto ‘The View Hotel’, Grand Parade located right on the seafront for their reception. The View Hotel is a modern building and suited this young couple down the the ground.
We started the day at Kayleigh’s house were the exited bridesmaids, Mother of the bride and Kayleigh were getting ready. Kayleigh had chosen a beautiful simple lace wedding dress, complimenting it with burgundy bridesmaids dresses. The bubbly was in full flow and I love the pictures we captured of all the girls in their vibrant dressing gowns.
James and joined the boys at the local pub, The Wheatsheaf, where Steve is a regular, the landlord had even made a board where they wished them well. The pictures of the boys walking to the church are brilliant and I’m sure Steve will look back at these in years to come and smile.
Kayleigh was taken to church in style, in a pretty vintage car with her very proud Dad. After the service and group shots including some fun ones we had a short trip the The View Hotel. We whisked the couple off straight away to the beach to get some romantic, gorgeous photographs . The backdrop was stunning, the sky blue and the couple glowing with happiness. It’s obvious when you spend time with this couple how very much in love they are.
Speeches can sometimes be a little boring, not at this wedding. The Father of the Bride was hilarious, having the crowd in stitches, very funny, The rest of the speeches bought out every emotion from laughter to tears.
We stayed until after the first dance capturing to couple and guests really dancing and having the best fun. That was a perfect way to celebrate this wonderful couples big day.
