A wonderful Upwaltham Barns Wedding in Chichester in Sussex. Upwaltham Barns is fast becoming a regular venue for us, although it’s a fair trip from Rye we don’t mind as it’s always a great day!
The run up to the wedding the weather had been truly awful and I pity the couples that got married the week before, torrential rain doesn’t cover it. Luckily for us we had no such problem on Phil and Jen’s big day with the skies blue to start but looking a bit threatening as the day went on, but we got away with it…phew, lucky!
We arrived to meet the bride and her maids in the middle of getting ready, although they were excited there was a relaxed feel giving us time to capture some natural shots. Jen had opted for a red theme and had some amazing red shoes which looked great against her elegant dress and of course the pretty bridesmaid’s dresses.
Guests were fast arriving and the girls couldn’t resist a sneaky peek over the banisters to see what was happening, getting very excited when Phil and the boys turned up. Phil is very much into cars and had a very sweet fiat 500 decked out with some wedding bunting, which of course had to feature in one of their photos .
Upwaltham Barns features two lovely buildings . The ceremony room is a beautiful beamed barn, light, airy and spacious. The second a beautiful stone building with lots of character for the reception.
After the service, fun confetti and group photo’s, we took the couple off for some beautiful romantic images. There are plenty of stunning backdrops at Upwaltham Barns and we made the best of it.
We stayed until the first dance then left to leave everyone to dance the night away.
