This was our first visit to Odo’s Barn in Bislington in Kent and what a pleasure it was. You can hold the whole ceremony at Odo’s Barn but you have the choice of holding the ceremony at a beautiful 14th Century Norman Church which is just a walk across the field to Odo’s Barn. This is what Matt and Kate decided to do.
We started our day however at Kate’s parents home which is actually Willow Tree House in Rye in East Sussex. When we arrived Kate and the bridesmaids already looked stunning and were finishing off their hair and make-up. We hung Kate’s gorgeous wedding dress in the bay window to capture a beautiful memory for her and photographed her unique wedding shoes. One of my favourite photo’s is of the girls in the conservatory wearing their pretty floral gowns , they all look so excited.
Kate looked picture perfect as we took a few portrait shots of her before leaving to go to the church , she arrived in style in and quaint vintage car with her extremely proud Father.
The service was small and intimate and the couple came out to a barrage of lavender confetti .After a few congratulations the couple went for a small drive in the beautiful car and who can blame them. On their arrival we captured the fun group photo’s, they were a great crowd and very easy to work with. We had the pleasure of working with some very talented videographers The Talking Fly, check them out!
Odo’s Barn backdrop is very picturesque and has and far reaching views. While the guests enjoyed their drinks and canapés we took the couple off for romantic pictures making the best of the really pretty but natural setting .
At Odo’s barn you can decorate it as you like and I must say they had done an amazing job. It’s a beautiful barn, although large it’s warm and welcoming. We stayed capturing the speeches, evening shots including the all important Ice Cream Van and first dance.
