Mountains Country House was a new venue for us and we were really excited to photograph Matt and Gemma’s wedding day.
What a fabulous fun couple, it was clear from the beginning that this wasn’t going to be a dull affair.
Starting off a The Mercure Hotel in Tunbridge wells where the couple were getting ready joined by a host of friends and family. Gemma was joined by her sisters, Mum and close friends who were a real giggle. I love the shots we captured of the girls on the bed. I don’t know how we fitted them all on. The boys traveled in style to Mountains Country House in a London red bus.
Mountains Country House, situated in Hildenborough, near Tonbridge, is a stunning grade II listed building and is a lovely wedding venue. Built in 1866, it features a listed tile floor in the entrance hall, and 26 acres of splendid landscaped gardens and beautiful parkland with large Redwood trees. The garden also contains an oak-gabled gazebo for outdoor ceremonies and a marquee for receptions. A brilliant venue for a Kent Wedding Photograher.
Luckily the weather was gorgeous as the couple tied the knot outside under the little gazebo, serenaded by a string quartet. Gemma walked along side her proud Dad, accompanied by her bridesmaids and groomsmen. The service was full of laughter which continued throughout the day. The group photo’s were a laugh with a lively Bridal party who definitely had their own ideas.
We whisked the couple around the grounds to capture their romantic shots using the building, pretty roses and trees as a picturesque backdrop. Matt and Gemma were very easy to work with and happy to give anything a go.
The speeches were probably some of the funniest I’ve heard, the reactions of the guests were priceless. We stayed until the first dance, then left everyone having a blast on the dance floor. We are looking forward to returning the Mountains Country House.
