Matt and Jenny – Kent Life Museum – Maidstone|Kent Wedding Photography

We were delighted to be asked to photograph this country feel wedding at The Kent Life Museum in Maidstone. Not only because it was a new venue for us but also we knew Jenny and her family when she was a little girl.

Although Matt and Jenny were having their reception at Kent life Museum, they decided to have the wedding service near their home in Cliffe at St Helens church. This proved to be a perfect setting, the church itself was quite grand and even had a balcony where we could take some dramatic shots looking down at the whole congregation.

We captured a few prep shots at Jenny’s parents house where Lauren Louise Professional hair and Make-up artist was hard at work making all the girls look beautiful, with natural flowers in their hair to give a real country feel. Jenny opted for her hair down which looked stunning with her figure hugging dress and the yellow and blue theme. Then it was off to the church in style in a ex royal carriage apparently that the queen mother used to use.

After the service, the group shots and a couple of photographs in the church we made our way to the venue. Unfortunately for us and the couple we got caught in traffic as there had been an accident but we all got there eventually and Matt and Jenny could get a well needed drink.

The couple wanted a few fun shots throughout the day along with the usual romantic ones. Kent Life Museum was a great venue to induce a relaxed feel and there is plenty of places to take stunning pictures , some of my favourites are in the hops and of course there are a few animals about if you fancy a portrait with them.

We had a lovely day, staying up until the speeches, coming away knowing we had some special shots for this lovely couple. We wish them all the best.
