Kent Life is a very unique wedding venue as it is set in an open air museum and working farm and is therefore open to the public. I have photographed a couple of weddings at this popular Kent wedding venue on the outskirts of Maidstone , it’s a beautiful setting. The good thing is that later in the day when the grounds close to the public you get the whole place to yourself and there are numerous great backdrops for wedding photography.
We started with the prep shots at The Hilton Hotel in Maidstone , which is a stones throw from Kent Life. Tanika was joined by her beautiful twin girls who were looking gorgeous in their matching bridesmaid dresses. Tanika looked stunning in her lace, beaded gown which was perfect for the venue.
Tanika had chosen natural colourful flowers with pretty sweet peas and the girls had matching baskets. Marc looked very dapper in his grey suit and waistcoat with a tartan bow tie. There was a slight Scottish touch throughout the wedding and Tanika’s brother proudly walked her down the aisle in a very fetching kilt. The service was ver natural and the room looked amazing with colourful bunting to match the theme.
The couple walked back down the aisle looking overjoyed and were treated to a barrage of confetti from their guests. We spent a lovely half an hour with the couple walking around the grounds and captured some natural, colourful, fun photographs. Nothing too stuffy or posed for these two.
We stayed to photograph the speeches then left to couple to enjoy the rest of their day with friends and family.
