We’d been looking forward to photographing this wedding for a long time. We meet Jen and John after we photographed one of their friends wedding’s in Rye. Luckily for us they loved our pictures and booked us for their wedding at Cooling Castle Barn in Kent near Rochester.
Cooling Castle Barn is a beautiful venue, with great backdrops for photography inside the barn and outside. The Barn where the reception is held is stunning and looks so romantic with all the twinkly lights and warm tones of the barn itself. The garden was a picture with a mass of pots and hanging baskets bursting with colour. There’s also a more natural feel with a field across the road that at this time of year was green and lush. Oh and of course the castle itself, what else do you need apart from a stunning bride and groom which Jen and John certainly were.
We started the day off photographing the prep shots, with Jenny, her bridesmaids and Mum. They were all very cool and collected with a hint of excitement . Jenny’s dress was absolutely stunning and we had to get a shot of it from the back before Jen walked to the service, I love that photo! The bridesmaids looked pretty in tones of lilac topped off with pretty pink bouquets.
Jen’s Dad was waiting at the bottom of the stairs for his beautiful daughter, taking her to meet her Groom. After the service we captured the group photos then whisked the couple off for their romantic photo’s. Our couples really enjoy this time away from the guests to have a little bit of time together, most saying they had great fun and liked being a model for the day.
We stayed until the first dance , leaving the couple to enjoy their evening with friends and family.
