Another lovely day saw us just outside Chichester, Sussex at yet another beautiful setting for a wedding , Upwaltham Barns. Upwaltham Barns is the prettiest barn wedding venue in the south of England. These traditional Sussex flint long barns are perfect for a relaxed country wedding and are set in the South Downs National Park next to the historic Goodwood Estate and just half an hour from the coast. Lovingly restored, Upwaltham Barns is family-owned and exudes a warmth and friendliness that has made it one of the most popular wedding barn venues in West Sussex. The atmosphere is delightfully friendly and relaxed and the owners, Tim and Nicola, go out of their way to help. The wedding venue is yours exclusively on the day so you can relax with friends and family in your own secluded country idyll. A fantastic location for Sussex wedding photography.
Nadine and James contacted us a year or so before their wedding and we were delighted to be shooting another wedding in Sussex at Upwaltham Barns. This was to be a spring wedding and we had all fingers and toes crossed for a sunny, dry day. Luckily we weren’t disappointed , although it wasn’t wall to wall sunshine it remained bright. James and Nadine were in great spirits as was the rest of their guests and we could tell after a few minutes with them that this was going to be a fun wedding! They had expressed a wish for some fun shots and I think we achieved that and also a general happy feel for the day.
We covered the whole day from prep shots to the first dance. Although we included the traditional photography with posed shots, most of the day was reportage photography, capturing the natural course of events. I do however love the evening pictures we shot in the garden with some lighting equipment to give that dramatic feel.
