The Gallivant Beach Wedding.
‘The Gallivant’ is a local venue for us, a few miles from the historic town of Rye it’s a wonderful, picturesque, coastal, beach location.
The beach is only a three minute walk from the venue. Hidden behind towering grass fringed dunes it is one of the loveliest sandy beaches in Southern England. Camber Sands is spectacular at all times of the year, a walk on its pristine sands is the perfect setting for your wedding photography.
It was second time around for Nick and Louise and this was a real family wedding. The couple requested natural, fun, reportage photography which suits our style perfectly.
We joined Louise and the girls having a brilliant time getting ready, the room was full of laughter and excitement. Louise was a very generous bride, handing out gifts and treats to her nearest and dearest. Her Mum and Maid of Honour were in fits of giggles when it came to helping Louise get in her wedding dress, it’s great fun to capture natural moments like this.
The service continued with the same happy vibe, the couple skipping back down the aisle to ‘Bring me Sunshine’ and emerging to a barrage of confetti.
We captured the family group photos outside ‘The Gallivant; and then hot footed it across the the beach with the happy couple before the rain came. The skies were amazing with threatening clouds and the beams of sun shinning through it made for a dramatic backdrop.
Exiting the beach we came back to a welcoming, colourful reception. Nick and Louise had made lots of the decorations for the room, with a mixture of beach trinkets and pretty flowers it was very festive.
We photographed the emotional speeches and stayed until the first dance. This was great fun and everyone was up on the dance floor celebrating this wonderful day!
