Dan and Toni’s wedding took place at the beautiful venue The Little Hermitage near Higham . A terrific place for a Kent wedding Photographer.
Little Hermitage is a prestigious Grade II listed Georgian manor house dating from ‘the Age of Elegance’ – the 18th century. Surrounded by splendid secluded gardens, gazebo and fountain, Little Hermitage is the perfect wedding venue. The interior of the house was designed by David Day. It really is special with it’s painted ceiling and crystal chandeliers and a light airy bridal suite which is fantastic for the Brides prep shots.
Toni had booked us two years prior to her wedding after she had seen the photos we had taken at her friends wedding. She was a very excited bride and had really been looking forward to her day so we wanted to do a great job.
The weather for weeks before the wedding had been rain, rain and more rain, so it really was fingers crossed. Luckily our prayers were answered and the sun shone. So we started off taking shots of the great venue and Bride’s prep shots including her four bridesmaids and three flowers girls . Toni didn’t feel that she was very photogenic but we certainly got some stunning shots of her and she has been delighted with the results. Including a different shot of Toni in the bath which I love.
We shot the service in the stunning hall and then it was outside for the group.shots, we could only take shots out the front on the hard surface as the ground was too wet to use the gazebo and staircase at the back of the building but it still made for a beautiful backdrop. I love the romantic shots of Dan and Toni with countryside in the background and the white pillars of the Little Hermitage. We also got some interesting ones as it started to get dark taken using our Lowel ID light which throws an intersting blue hue.
